Health-above-all

Health above all

Health above all! If you don’t have health, you can’t have anything… It’s the mainstream holiday wish! Health Above All – Wish or Choice? It’s a wish as if it’s something outside of us, something we can’t do much about, something that happens! But is it so? Do we have no control over our health and wellness?

Why do we only care once it is very late?

Indeed, we don’t want to take responsibility; this may happen because of a lack of knowledge or limited time; maybe the modern way of life, so fast and furious, is to blame!

There are many excuses:

“Times are tough.”

“I don’t have the time.”

“No mood”

“I do not have the money.”

But the truth is, our priorities are different. After all, our education is external knowledge based on social standards. In addition, our lack of communication with our inner wisdom and our distance from Nature inhibits our health and wellbeing.

Health Above All – Wish or Choice?

Equally important, is health an accident in life? Is it luck, hope, or is it a daily choice?

Health and well-being is not an accidental result; it is the totality of daily habits! Additionally, our actions, choices, and relationship with the Self play a vital role in our energy and mood levels.

One of the reasons for yoga’s misunderstanding is that it teaches how to reconnect with all dimensions of the Self. Furthermore, yoga means union and is a process of unification with existence. A person connected to the Self recognizes the facts, prioritizes self-care, and makes healthy decisions. He also knows the importance of his thoughts, feelings, actions, and choices. Finally, he renews his knowledge, embraces his dimensions, releases toxicity, and manages his talents appropriately.

Health is neither an accident nor an inheritance. It’s our habits!

So, health above all – Wish or Choice? Let’s decide on our health and well-being.

How can I decide without knowledge of what to do?

The important thing is you have all the answers inside you! Through calmness, relaxation, and observation, you get the  correct response.

This is not a personal technique or ideology; it is the technique chosen by great scientists and inventors. Einstein stated, “A properly defined problem is 50% solved.” “Common sense” is nothing more than a stock of prejudices that have settled in the mind before we are eighteen.”

A guide on how health can become a choice!

Take care of physical wellbeing

Diet is essential for good stamina. Nurture yourself with natural foods such as fruits, vegetables, clean water, homemade food, and less salt, flour, and sugar.

Go for 3-4 weekly workouts with muscle strengthening and aerobic exercise, such as 30-40 minutes of walking.

The experience is liberating.

Rejecting emotions and suppressing them is crucial in psychosomatic problems and autoimmune diseases. Express feelings through art, song, painting, or dance.

The mind is not your home; the body is

There is a flood of information, analysis, and new evidence. Also, many limitations and past phobias reside in our minds. Connecting with the Earth is the antidote to overanalyzing. More specifically, a walk in the park, a swim in the sea, and a mountain trip are suitable options for mental wellbeing!

Make Self-care a priority

The most important relationship in life is the one with ourselves! Having a 10-minute break every day for ourselves is mandatory. Additionally, these 10 minutes are enough for deeper connection and stress reduction.

Companionship & Hugs

Togetherness is our true Nature. On the contrary, with the philosophy of separation, love, and meaningful contact is the basis of well-being! The critical elements of health and wellness are touch, hugs, and communication.

At the end of this article, I wrote the word “hope”.

But the great Greek poet Kazantzakis came to my mind:

“I fear nothing, hope for nothing, I am free!”

I add: because I connect to my Self and define my life,

my habits and take care of my health and wellbeing!

With much love for a beautiful closing and a new beginning!
