Present with the child

Present with the child. Relationships are the driving force of life. The relationship with the parents reflects the quality of the relationship with the self. For a healthy society to exist, we must be fully present with the child at every moment. In addition, the relationships we build with our partners, friends, and colleagues are based on our relationship with ourselves. Moreover, the inner child existing inside every adult person dictates all our relationships.

What is the inner child?

The inner child is our younger self. Equally important, it concerns all recordings of experiences, situations, feelings, and the environment. Everything we have experienced as children, all the shortcomings, needs, and wants, characterize the inner child. Moreover, what is left unmet in childhood, whether by intention or by inadvertence, is constantly within the individual making its appearance as unexpected anger, depressive tendencies, or delinquent behaviors.

Everyone must take time with their inner child to build a channel of acceptance, open communication, and selfless love. In this process, the guidance of an expert may be necessary.

What are the requirements for a child?

Love, Connection, Communication, Attention, Confidence, Care, Presence
When you recognize the child’s wants, you more easily understand the needs of another, your inner child, and yourself.

Be present with the child you bring to life.

We decide to give birth to a new soul in the physical world. Moreover, this decision is only sometimes conscious, or there needs to be adequate knowledge about the behavior and management of the new soul. Additionally, most of the time, the repetition of our parent’s behavior patterns is inevitable; other times, we act in precisely opposite ways.

Connection with the inner child creates a beautiful environment to relate with your child. You are caring for the newborn and experiencing love, acceptance, and fulfillment.

As you experience all your shortcomings, unique needs, and talents, you understand the uniqueness of each soul. This way, you accept your child’s diversity and preferences, creating a new parenting style!

We become our child’s parent when we are fully present with the child.

  The present has two meanings:

1 – be a gift for the kid

Honestly, give your full attention.

No phone calls, TV shows, or anything else should interrupt you when you talk with the child. Additionally, try not to have something else scheduled for the next 1 hour. This way,  you can give your child time and space to express themselves.

Good listeners

People want something else than advice most of the time. Instead, they seek acceptance and sharing. In particular, being a good listener, open-minded, and heart oriented is the key. Don’t react from your ego or other experiences.

Have the intention to understand

Equally important, most teenagers don’t talk to their parents because they think they won’t understand. So keep your heart open, understand the reasons, and use no judgment.

Give a confidence boost

In addition, kind language demonstrates continued support for children regardless of circumstances. Equally important is the reminder of their talents, abilities, and unique characteristics.

Last but not least, show people how important they are to you

Most of us carry the limiting belief that we are not enough. The reason is that we needed the acceptance and importance we required. In addition, expressing our love creates a safe environment, with respect for ourselves and others.

Be present with the child in a safe and loving environment

Be there with and for each child. Give them time to communicate, interact, connect, and share. Take care of their words and their way of expression while showing them love, support, and trust! Offer all of the above to your inner child as well.

Finally, all the conflicts we experience with our children convey a message about our relationship with the child we once were. Indeed, there is always time to connect with our inner child and create a relationship full of love and affection.
